Learning how food grows is one of the most empowering skills you can develop – but most people never get the chance. We’ve become disconnected from the natural world, relying on supermarkets and supply chains that are increasingly fragile.

Let’s be honest – setting up your own long term food system is an overwhelming task when you’re doing it alone. Many people get inspired by the idea of self-sufficiency, but lose momentum when the planning, planting, and maintenance get too complex.

That’s why we started installing Food Forrests – done with you, on your land, with expert local guidance. Founded by Josh & Dave – two mates passionate about permaculture and ecological design – we’re on a mission to help fellow Kiwis turn their backyards (or back paddocks) into thriving, edible ecosystems.

When you join Living Food Forests, we work directly with you to design and install your own perennial food system – tailored to your space, your goals, and your local environment.

Each visit, we bring new plants, trees, and support materials to expand and enrich your food forest. We leave you with clear, simple guides and videos so you understand what’s been done, and how to care for your system as it matures.

Plus, you’ll get access to our community of fellow growers, and your very own managed composting system to keep the soil – and the cycle of life – thriving on your property.
